Myself

Thrill-seekers! Welcome to my new outdoor adventure site Outdoor-Bound.com also previously known as Footsteps to Nature.

I’ve lived in Malaysia almost all my life and I’m proud that I was born here. Aside from all the mouth-watering food that we’re famous for, this country is full of amazing outdoor adventure activities waiting for us to discover, experience, and appreciate!

I love the great outdoors which is why I hardly say no to a dose of adrenaline rush (except anything that requires me to eat weird creatures). So as long as my heart beats, you can expect a collection of amazing outdoor adventures and getaways in Malaysia and across the globe. Stay tuned!

About Outdoor Bound

Outdoor Bound is essentially a diary of my adventures written as vividly as my memory can recall. My vision is still as faithful since the beginning. You can expect similar posts as I’ve written in the past on Footstepstonature.com which is a one-stop information shop for all things outdoorsy.

  1. Hi, I read with much interest on your post about waterfall abseiling at pisang waterfalls. I am considering going there with my sister next week but have no idea on how to acquire a guide or operator for the activity. Would you be able to advise me on that? My email address is vivianchan.dance@gmail.com . Much appreciated, thanks in advance.

  2. Hi Jo,

May I check how t go about hiring a guide and apply for permit to hike Bukit Tabur?

I live in Singapore and will be arriving at Kuala Lumpur on the 6th Sept early morning (Saturday), hoping to be able to hike Bukit Tabur.

    Appreciate your prompt reply.

    Thank you very much!

    Regards,
    Boon Hee

    1. Hi Boon Hee,

      Thanks for your comment!

Firstly, you don’t require permit to hike Bukit Tabur as it is not a conservation area with entry fees, etc..

Secondly, I do not know of any guides BUT I do know that Saturday morning is a popular time to hike there which means you’re bound to bump into fellow hikers who will be willing to offer any assistance.

Remember to take extra care at certain parts of the hike!

      Cheers.
